Here’s the whole thing in about 16 seconds… because watching that blue foam hit the matcha might be my favorite part.

I had a problem…

Starbucks made the Blue Coconut Matcha and I liked it A LOT. πŸ˜‚

Unfortunately, regularly handing Starbucks several dollars every time I want a pretty blue and green drink is probably not the most financially responsible way to live my life.

So, of course, I had to figure out how to make my own.

And honestly? I think this version might be even more me.

I used RYZE Matcha for the base, added a little mango sweetness, and made my own ridiculously pretty blue coconut cold foam with blue spirulina.

The result is creamy, fruity, coconutty, and just sweet enough. And LOOK AT THAT COLOR! πŸ’™πŸ’š

It also means I get to control how sweet I make it and what kind of sweetener I use, which I really like. And since RYZE is already my go-to matcha at home, that was naturally what I reached for when I started experimenting.

Blue Coconut RYZE Matcha

For the mango matcha

  • 1Β½ cups oat milk
  • 1 serving RYZE Matcha
  • 1 oz Lakanto Mango Syrup

Add everything to a blender and blend until smooth and frothy.

Sometimes I love slowing down and making my matcha the ceremonial way. Other times, I have two kids and approximately five minutes. πŸ˜‚ Thankfully, throwing everything in the blender is quick, easy, and just as yummy!

For the blue coconut cold foam

  • about ⅓–½ cup, staying below your frother’s MAX line
  • ΒΌ teaspoon KOS Blue Spirulina Powder
  • A couple squirts of coconut stevia, or to taste

A note about the blue πŸ’™
The color comes entirely from blue spirulina powder, no blue food coloring needed! I only used ΒΌ teaspoon and somehow it turns the foam into the prettiest periwinkle blue. You can always start with a little less and add more until you get the shade you want.

Tip: Milk frothers have different capacities, so be sure to stay below the frothing MAX line on yours.

Put it all together

Fill your favorite glass with ice and pour in the mango matcha.

Then slowly pour the blue coconut foam over the top.

Take approximately 47 photos because the swirls are way too pretty not to! πŸ˜‚

Then stir it up (or don’t) and enjoy. πŸ’™πŸ₯₯🍡
